You will be staying at Keramos Studios, a very cosy and traditional hotel within the village, where you will have the chance to taste the best breakfast in Crete.

We will spend together half of the day just after breakfast.
Your afternoons will be free so you can enjoy relaxing walks on the mountain or swim at the nearby beaches (just 15km away).
Day of your arrival
Find your room and relax. Then you will be invited to join us in a different way of life and to experience the authentic local culture.

2nd day
The Cretan diet is one of the richest and healthiest regimes in the world.
Discover it in a 4-hour cooking lesson in an authentic Cretan house in Zaros.
Learn how we cook for our family and friends.
Maria and Vagelis welcome you in their house for the cooking lesson.
On the day you taste, cook and share food with them sitting at the same table you will become part of the family.
Fresh vegetables from their garden, virgin olive oil and lots of Cretan herbs. Use them and prepare simple but delicious dishes. Easy recipes for you to make back home.
Join them and cook gemista (stuffed vegetables), Kolokithokeftedes (grated zucchini balls), dakos (traditional barley rusk), Cretan lasagne, dolmades (stuffed vine leaves), halvah, soutzoukakia (traditional meatballs) and many other delicious Cretan dishes!
3rd day
After breakfast we will visit our organic farm, where you and your friends or you with your children will have the chance to become farmers-breeders for a day, in the Cretan way!
You will discover the properties of the herbs and of the wild edible greens of the Cretan land.
You will pick vegetables from our garden and fruit from our trees!
You will have the chance to pet, feed and get to know the animals of the farm, such as sheep, goats, piglets, hens, geese, turkeys, ducks, little rabbits and our little donkey Louisa!
You will witness all the steps of traditional Cretan cheese making!
We will use the fresh cheese in order to make little pies with traditional Cretan phyllo pastry. We will cook together some Cretan dishes and make bread in the wood-fired oven. Then you will relax on the terrace of the house enjoying Cretan delights, nice homemade raki and wine, and of course your own handmade delicious food. The natural sounds of the farm and the serene landscape will do all the rest!
4th day
It's the day we will have to say goodbye. But before that, we will be visiting one of the best wineries in Crete and take a tour to the vineyard and the building. You will taste local wine and various traditional Cretan mezedes (tapas).

Vivi has studied electrical engineering but her love for people and food led her to open her own restaurant in 2002. Since then she has always cooked with love using those natural ingredients that the Cretan land offers.

A reservation requires a deposit of 30% of the total price
The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 21 days before arrival date.
The remaining amount should be paid in cash the day of your arrival.
